Keeping Our Students Safe in Fall 2020

The priority of the Diocese of Pittsburgh is the health and well-being of students in its Catholic schools. We will follow CDC, state and local guidelines for fall 2020 to keep students safe as they continue to grow closer to Jesus and expand their minds.

Temperature Screenings

  • Temperature readings will be required daily for students, teachers,
    and staff.

Cleaning and Disinfecting

  • School buildings and frequently used surfaces will be disinfected regularly each day.

  • Mask-wearing policy will adhere to CDC, state, and local guidelines.
  • Classroom setups will honor social distancing.

Visitor and Volunteer Policy

  • Visitors and volunteers will be limited in order to keep germs from spreading.

Large Events

  • Masses, sporting events and school events will adhere to social distancing rules.

In-person and Virtual Learning

  • Classes are expected to begin in-person, with virtual options for students and parents who prefer them.
